Dont read if you don't want to see a side profile of a drawn bum....

Firstly, here are some recents of Jax...he is a big boy. Poor kid gets really bored REALLY fast. And sadly, he has a mom that doesn't entertain, at all. So you can imagine...He has a recent MAJOR obsession with Thomas the Train. Like he wants to watch 24/7--you don't believe me i know, just ask my mom or husband. He is just SO busy. SSOOO busy. He has his 18 month appointment on Monday. He's just growin right up. He is pretty coordinated, he jumps really well on my parents trampoline, and can jump with both feet off the ground, not on a tramp, he LOVES to run "fast" and throw everything and anything at everyone and anything. He is still a terrible eater and we are all constantly amazed he is as thick as he is, but he's thinning out. He's pretty good at communicating and talking, but also really good at rambling in incoherent jibber-jabber. Both are VERY cute.:) Now you can read on...

So, I'm officially in my second trimester...hallelujah. Landmark of happiness. That's right; 14 weeks baby. I'm so, so glad. So glad. For me, time just crawls when I'm pregnant. I found out at like 4 weeks; and i feel like it's totally just been snail pace. You wait for 5 weeks, then 6 weeks, then 7 weeks, then 8---you see what i mean? Not even in the double digits yet and it's already annoying. :) Don't I sound patient? well, I'm not.:) I got sick at 6 weeks with this one, instead of at 9 weeks like I was with Jax---and the nausea was a little worse than I remembered with Jax...so that might have added to the slow feeling of it all. But I'm pretty much not sick anymore, just hungry.:) BOO-YA. Second trimester rules. Anyway, just wanted to share my joy. Sorry about the naked picture below---I'm so excited about being 14 weeks i don't even care that I'm posting a naked picture on my blog. Plus it's discrete naked. Just be thankful it's a drawing and not the real thing---as in a side view of me naked...hehe, that would be bad...bad...;)

And, in case you couldn't tell, my baby is the size of a lemon.:) We are g-e-t-t-i-n-g there!

we're pretty cool

Justin and I went to Park City for the weekend (Thurs., Fri., got back today, Saturday). It was GREAT. In a word. Eating out every meal has got to be one of the best things ever; not being responsible for a child; hanging with my eternal companion. I've been looking forward to it for a LONG time. My AMAZING parents/family/GREAT grandparents Haight all made this possible by watching my cute little CRAZY baby. For 3 days!
THANK YOU!!!! You are the BEST!!!
Jax had a blast; didn't care one iota that I was gone. Seriously, when  I got back and we finally left to go back to our house with him; he just kept sadly and pathetically saying as we got in the car and drove away "mai mai....mai mai" (that is what he calls my mom) over and over, almost bringing himself to tears... He REALLY missed me.
Another happy thought:
We have 18 people in my extended family to buy Christmas presents for (excluding Justin, me and Jax). While we were in Park City we went to the outlets and SCORED. Got EVERYONE pretty darn cool presents, and dude; we got D-E-A-L-S. And so, now we are done. WHAT??!?! I've NEVER been done this early...But i'm NOT complaining. We are SO happy. We did so good. We were like the shopping masters--we were just on a roll the whole day. We basically shopped for like 10 hours, and we still liked each other after. How many women can say that about their husbands? I know, Justin is a cool shopper. A good trick to help if you have a problem getting your guy to go, and go with a smile, is to let him buy something for himself about every, oh, hour and 1/2...It's not the cheapest thing but you gotta weigh your priorities. :) j/k...kind of.
Anyway. We are PROUD. To bad we only think to take pictures of our son--hence none from our anniversary thing...sad.

Thanks again to my family--love you!

ps. If you don't go on a overnight-er for your anniversary--you should; give yourself a break. I highly doubt you wont like it...:)

Halloween pictures

Remember when my baby used to look like this?? I don't. sad. That was last halloween.
I just got done watching a video of it...sob. Cute little superman.

AND remember how last year Justin was Wolverine?

Well this year he decided not to mess up a good thing...you can see him in the background...:)
AND look at this cute little elephant!!!
I promise he is 20x cute-er (is that a word) in person. If that is possible. He looked SO cute. And i didn't get a bum shot of him, which is sad because there was padding in this costume and jax was a little tall and really got a wedgie from it. SO cute from the behind.... :)
The trunk-r-treat was right during his nap-time. This might help explain his overall look in most of these...
I actually dressed up this year. I was supposed to just be a asain person but it turned into the freaky asian from down-under. To bad i didn't do a closeup of my face---pretty scary! or my ears--sprayed with black spray. gross.

It was all pretty fun. Jax looked SO cute. I couldn't get enough. Like i say, the pictures suck. But we had a good time with him. We went and saw both grandparents that night to show him off. Grandparents are the BEST people to show your kid off to.

Remember when we went to St. George?

Oh wait, didn't blog about it. We went to St. George to go camping. However, in light of my vow, we (justin, me, and jax) didn't really camp; we hung with the campers by day, and slept in my Grandparents Judkins house by night. In a queen bed. in a room. with fans. bless me. And that is how it's done people.

Sadly, because of laziness and blah feeling i took only the pictures below. But my, are they good pictures.

This is how we found jax after looking away for like maybe 30 seconds. I can't say i didn't see it coming, but it was a HUGE mess. Good thing we werent really camping and could go wash the cloths later that night. That didn't stop jax from getting a pretty severe cold shower in the large fresh water spicket directly afterward. Don't worry, we let him play for awhile in his nasty puddle, cause i mean, the damage was done. No reason to stop the child when he will play by himself for a bit...But then he started drinking the water. It was irrigation water. I kind of  really hate that campground for a number of reasons...that is one. There were  puddle like lake things around alll the trees in the campground--the spickets CONSTANTLY just ran water to the tree's unless you ask specifically to have them turned off in your site. DUMB idea if you want kids under 4 at your camp ground NOT to get giardia. Ya, Jax might have that. what? yes, thanks stupid campground. (in the campgrounds defense--it was GEORGOUS down there...but that had way more to do with the location then the campground...lets be honest.) Anyway, ya, giardia. Jaxton's poop is progressivly getting more and more funky and frequent. In case you were wondering. I'm a little nervous about it...mostly because i DO NOT want to do a stool sample.
Here is my Angel...:)

In case you can't tell, he is having a BLAST. :)

See the stupid leaky spicket; Jax had his entire mouth around that thing and he was lapping up the water.

My dad was being nice to jax after the cold spicket shower we gave him. What a nice grandpa. :)

Look! Other people that aren't jax! See sometimes i do take pictures of other things...

Cross your fingers jaxton's poop starts to normalize...:)
hehe.

Here are some pictures since blogger sucks and i cant load my videos i was SO excited about...HATE it. blogger, i HATE blogger.

Jaxtons new corky thing he has started to do somtimes is try and clawl into small spaces. Which he can usually do, however, he cannot usually get himself back out.  So the other day i found him in this little place.  and nope, he couldn't get himself out of this one either--that smile didn't stay on there too long...poor kid. :)

This is Jaxton walking to church, i couldn't resisist snaping a picture with my phone becuase he was just walking with so much purpose and was really being pretty silly (refer to other picture below.) He doesn't like church-has a hard time, so it's extra cute and funny to me.

He is SO darn cute i cant even deal with it. Thank goodness i think he is so cute... the little stinker. ;)

Some portraits

These are some portraits my dad took back in the beginning of July; i'm totally on top of things...I cant tell you how convienent it is to have a dad that likes to take pictures with a nice camera, and actually does a good job. Oh gracias!
We had to give Jax candy every 30 seconds or so, you might be able to see some in some of these; so if your wondering, yes, he has candy in his mouth.  It was REALLY hard to get him to sit still. Almost impossible, we are lucky we got what we did.
Side note: I'm going to try to upload some video's of him..they are pretty funny. But, knowing me you might not see them for a couple of months. ;)
ps. Jax is 16 months old, when he went in for his appointment at 15 months he was 70% for weight, 80% for height, and over 100% for head size. :) Just wanted to document. I think he weighed 27lbs.
another ps. I put windsheild wipers on my car today all by myself. Bought the right size and everything. Go me.
pps. After confrence this week i'm putting jax in nursrey on sunday, even though he's not 18 months. I had like 3 people at church come and tell me it was okay last sunday. Could their comments have had something to do with his behavior? With his behavior every week? Who cares. Done. Tender mercies. Justin almost cried with joy. ;)

Cute picts of my babe

This is Jax loving the "bath" with Isaac and Max

3 in the tub...

Now aren't all of those just SO cute? :) He really caught a lot of Jaxton's usual faces.

ps. I do NOT get this knew formatting or whatever with blogger, then again, i didn't get the old formatting either...kind of really, really, annoying. Why cant i ever figure out how to make stuff look the way i want? Is it that hard? Blogging is really frustrating.

Master of the House

My Moms the Bomb:
  •  7 Children (really, lets be honest, this list could end here)
  • Primary President (WAAAAAY extra mile primary president)
  • Service extraordinaire (One of the most Christ-like people I know in this area)
  • "No" is not in her vocabulary (she will say yes to anything and everything you ask of her, ALWAYS)
  • Jumps, literally, at any chance to watch the grandkids---She's in love with them (I am SO thankful she's mine:)
  • Cup is ALWAYS "half full"--this can sometimes cause me to want to shake her...
  • Always beyond supportive, this goes from close family to extended family to church and to community. Like Marsha=supporter. Like a HUGE supporter.
  • Always juggling 1 million things--but somehow always has time for you
  • SO active--not one of those mom's that sit around--running, racquetball, back-handsprings (not on the tramp, ya you heard me) biking, swimming, triathlons, boxing, workout videos, you name it.
  • More than happy to feed anyone, and lots of times everyone, anytime, anyplace, over and over and over again.
  • Plus she is just darn cute.
ADD to this
  • MASTERS DEGREE in public administration from BYU.
She's been working on that for the last 3 years, and it was DANG hard work.
Ya, she IS amazing. I'm glad we can all agree.
I'm sure there will be more amazing attributes that come to mind right after i post this but, oh well. I just wanted to give you an idea.
She rules.
Picts of the awesome occasion below:

Awww look how happy :)

These little people LOVE her

See, look at how Jax is looking at her

These big people love her too.

Note the Chocolate (Riesen and Hersey's Bliss Dark Chocolate--best dark chocolate you can buy at the store, better then dove) Lei--i made it. I am SO talented

And the happy couple

Gal of the hour in all her glory

Well there it is. documented for all time. Happy day.

Ferron, the novel

SOOO, this one time, around July 29th, the entire Gause clan (Justin, me, Jax, Justin's brother Jason, his wife Brooke, they're two kids Kaitlyn and Ethan and then Justin's parents, 6 adults 3 children) went on their 2nd "Family Campout"...ever. since i've been in the family. We went to Ferron, it's in Utah, in case you were wondering. Ferron is the sweet remembrences of Justin and Jason's childhood, it's their "happy place". :)

It WAS beautiful, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. So pretty. I really appreciated the beatuy.

Preface: After my last post and then this you might start to think i hate everything--i'm starting to think that too...i really don't. i don't think. I'm trying not to. it's so hard.

So we all went, to re-live the dream. The only sad part about the dream is:

No drinking water (unless you boil for 10 minutes, luckily the others in our party were prepared for this--i didn't even know they had any campgrounds in utah that didn't allow you to drink the water. Why would you camp somewhere with no water. What if you didn't bring water?)

Driving 40 minutes going 15-20 mph on a bumpy dirt road. For some reason--it felt like eternity. please bless i'm not the only one that thinks that is really annoying.

Port-a-potties (i'm kind of a flushable toilets snob...aren't you? i cant be the only one; but everytime i say that to someone, they look at me like i'm this germ-a-fobe or like i just have to much money and can afford toilets that flush...i don't know, it's something i really care about.

Carrying out your own garbage, really not the worst thing in the world--especially if you have other people with trucks take yours out for you...yes, that is what we did.

Everyone and their dog owning a 4wheeler and/or a chain saw--no off bottons on either. really, is that normal?

Getting literially 2 hours of sleep---I'm going to be honest--worst part. People say "oh such a bad night, like no sleep"--i mean LITERALLY i went to bed at 11pm woke up at 12pm to Jax cough gagging and didn't fall asleep until 7. Up at 8. What did i do for 7 hours in the middle of the night with a wide awake child? Please keep in mind we are at a camp ground--the need for silence was imparitive--everyone can hear your every move, you don't want to be the one everyone is cursing the next day. SOOO as silently as possible, 3ish hours trying to get him to sleep next to me in my bed--that actually worked for a bit, but EVERY time i'd try and lay him back in his bed--wide awake. Why put him back in his bed? Could NOT sleep sandwiched between him and the hub, tried for 3 hours--it was a no go. Then, for about 2 hours, i pushed the stroller on the only cement withing 10 miles, a 3x9 slab outside the port-a-pottie. (those dinky strollers don't push on dirt roads--REALLY annoying) back and forth, back and forth, endlessly. The occasional wiff of human waste--sign me up. I also spent about 2 1/2 hours in our car (which was sandwiched between to other cars preventing me from driving Jax to sleep and/or commiting suicide.;) It was insane. It was the senior all night party all over again, only without the 7 hour nap the next morning. Just camping for another 12 hours and then trying it all over again. That kind of sleep does wonders for you and your child.

I cant be the only one this has ever happend to.

Why do people go camping? Why do people like camping? Why do i always think I like camping?

Why does everything that used to be fun suddenly blow because you have a child? seriously. I totally love my child. Have you met my child? He is halarious and super cute. That should make it funner. i don't get it.

Well anyway. Here are some DARLING pictures of the DARLING Gause's. Maybe someday i will erase all of the above caption and it will just be the pictures and i wont have anything but pleasent memories.

Jax playing peek-a-boo

Jax's cool stick--one of the "natural toys" camping offers

Jax LOVES Kaitlyn, he really like to follow her and Ethan around

Grandpa Gause and Jax. Jax really like to play and eat rocks.

Grandma Gause and Ethan, Campground in background.

The lovebirds (this was not staged, el-natural)

This one they actually knew i was taking a picture, thats my winner right there. :)

Cute Brooke taking some sweet picts

The kids played here for awhile, as long as you keep Jax away from Ethan--all was well. :)

Awww ya. sling shootin us some dinner.

Jax wouldn't look at the camera...but his handsome dad would.

Grandma Gause and Justin--comin in fast b/c there was lightning.

Don't be fooled by that face--Jax LOVED this shuvel.

Breakfast of Champions: Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Hashbrowns and Pancakes, all cooked in bacon grease. Thank you to all the farmers out there.

Another good one of my cute sister in law and cute Ethan

Eat up guys.

I feel like Jax always wants to prove that he is a stud. Always wants to pick up heavy stuff and show you. Wants you to be impressed. He's such a little man.

Rockin the over-alls. I loved this outfit. :)
Very pretty view

Cute kid.

We survived and are victorious.

I have made a vow to never "camp" (overnight) with a baby again. we will see how that goes, i've made similar vows in the past--camping is so much cheaper...but this time i feel a little more dead serious.
