Rod says:
Baadow: Bottle (Milk bottle.) That one is easy.
Bump! Bump!: Jump! Jump! He LOVES to jump (or pretend to jump--he thinks he's jumping, but he's really not) on everything. Mostly he really loves to jump on the Trampoline. He is seriously really good at it too. He is starting to be able to hold his own even with others on the tramp. And by "hold his own" I mean he still falls a great deal but doesn't get hurt and still has fun and get a few "bumps" in. :) When he is jumping or should I say "bumping" by himself or with just one other person, he "bumps" REALLY well. Very impressive for a 1 year old.
Cuk-o: Color. It means he wants to color--and that boy is DANGEROUS with anything that leaves a mark. Don't fall into his cute little "cuk-o" trap and give him even a pencil--it will be all over the floor, and it's not as easy as you'd think to clean up.
Gink: Drink. This one came dehydrated, and seems to be a bottomless water pit. Except when he's not. And spits, dumps, or shakes out the water everywhere. I never learn...
Kuk: truck, that's another fairly easy one.
Nana: Banana. He says this all the time, whether he want's one or not. He has wasted many a banana because he just likes to hear himself say this word. The little turkey.
Bauw: Ball
Dats: Jax
Maaaam & Dadda & Uh-ho: guess the interpretation of those...:)
There are more that I can't think of right now, so this will have to do...

He really is quite the nonsensical rambler. He will just go on and on, rambling this incoherent (very well enunciated) jabber. His jabber is very clearly spoken, that is what makes it so funny. Every word seems really deliberate. And there are definite pauses in between words, but it is very fast speaking. I really love it.

And he has rhythm. This kid dances so darn cute. He really feels the beat. His favorite "dance move" seems to be the "squat". Without weights. :) He does these DEEP squats to the beat of the music. If you've seen his quads, it might all start to make sense...
He also likes to do the arm sway move back and forth, back and forth. And if he's really feeling in--he will do them both together. And he'll kind of move forwards or to the side slowly while squatting and arm swaying.
To funny, very aerobic-y. :)

The kid is starting to build quite the "drama king" reputation from anyone that is around him for more than 15 minutes.  The theater is beckoning to this young protegee.:)
The way this kid throws "fits"... I'm just going to have to video it.  There is no explaining the drama. The great lengths he goes to hold a pathetic pose, his body "just so", to hold a pathetic face; straining to squint and frown, he will hold them and not move, for like 30 seconds while he works up this moan/squeal/cry. And just the complete FAKE-ness of his "fits". I almost bust up laughing every time. Except that it happens so much. Even super funny things have a tendency to get old...:)But only sometimes...:)

And we just LOVE him. And seriously?? He is just SO beautiful and he is growing SO fast, I just really needed to get this stuff on "paper".

  1. cute cute. i love seeing how kids pronounce different words. Each kid is unique & it's so darn cute & hard to preserve/remember when they grow up
