Jaxtons 3rd Birthday!

What a day!! Picture OVERLOAD (and it was a major PAIN getting them on here. Blogger needs to work on that.)
Jax has been SOOO excited for his birthday--been talking about it for the last month. "My birfday comin' up!", all the time. So I really wanted him to enjoy the day, and it turned out really well.
Balloons in the morning, i'll be doing this again, both boys thought it was great.

Birthday breakfast? Chocolate milk bottle. Don't tell Justin I gave one to him...look how happy he is.
It was a slightly boring day after that, except the 4 wheeler ride with his dad, but the party that evening made up for it. :)
Right before we left to his party--he was very excited.
My friend loaned us her parachute to play with--the kids LOVED it. Quite evident from the pictures below! Thank for snapping them Tash!

Jaxton's cake was melting...but luckily it was a chocolate monster truck cake, so it just looked like the trucks were in actual mud..I'm that good--I plan for the elements. ;)
This year I tried to do a "healthy" cake...very little sugar, etc...It was hard. For some reason everything seemed to be SO temperamental. I don't know how I feel about it...

At least you don't have to feel guilty about eating that weird chocolate cake. Ironically, Jax didn't even touch it. I also made home-made ice cream, that didn't turn out super cool either. Kind of icy, but it had a really good flavor. I shoulda put in the heavy cream...;)

Look how cute everyone was playing Frisbee football!! Aaah ya!!

My beautiful boy. I finally took him to the doctor AGAIN (like 30th time), and they said he has "slight" pneumonia. So he is on antibiotics. Thank goodness. This boy has REALLY been whinny (understatement) and I just feel like he has been sick for the last month straight.
Favorite picture of the night
The only time Rod wasn't whining whilst not being held is the pictures above. Water in a bucket, so smart.

I made a Thomas the Train pinata. The kids were SO cute and nice and everyone was so good at sharing their turns.
see, CUTE!!
and cute again!!

Katelyn always started off looking like she wasn't hitting very hard, but she had a surprisingly hard hit don't let her fool you. :)

Love this cute pict of Ethan, he looks like he's sword fighting. :)
Another sword fighter. :)

Max was definently the hard hitter of the bunch. Look out!!

Mai, on the other hand, was the most delicate hitter, and wound up missing and giggling about 75% of the time. :)

It took a while, but it finally broke.
Okay, we have the best kids ever in our family. When the pinata first started breaking, like one candy would fly out, Jax would pause, pick it up, and go take it to someone. Totally unprompted sharing! And then, when it was finally all broken, those cute kids just kind of walked around, picking some up, eating others. Just being so nice and cute to each other! There was seriously NO fighting the entire night.
 Best nieces and nephews ever.

My amazing supportive family spectating.

Hazel and Rod love each other. They were just loving and hugging. Had to get some pictures.

The crew coming in from the pinata to do presents.

I love our family!! EVERYONE came, Jax loved it and I loved it. Our family rules.
Present Pictures (basically, he got spoiled.):

Okay, another crazy thing.
You know how you just pray your kid is going to be grateful and kind about the presents he receives and the wonderful people who gave them? Jax was an ANGEL, he gave EVERYONE a hug after each present and I could tell he really appreciated everything. He loved everything and everyone and was more than willing to show it. Praises. I was thankful.

are you melted yet? Cause I am. :)
The last present was from us, it was a bike. He had ridden it at Toys R Us so we knew he loved it and could ride. It was kind of a last minute thing and I'm really glad we ended up getting it. He LOVES it. When he saw what it was he squealed and said "This mine??" And then he jumped right on it and started riding around the park. I was happy.

LOVE this picture.
and this one. Gotta love the moral support from the CUTE cousins!!
His darling cousins just kind of followed him around, he was so happy. He has such nice cousins.

Ethan sporting the awesome bag I made him...;)
Justin almost single handed-ly clean up everything. S-T-U-D!!

My dad widdled (is that the right word?) this awesome shovel and a little dagger (very blunt tip)  for Jax. I wanted a picture of the two of them together with them, but then It was night time in Jaxton's room and my dad was no where to be seen. So this is the best I got. I LOVE YOU DAD!
All in all. SUCH a fun time for Jax, and for me, I seriously was so impressed with the kids, and with Jax! I'm pretty sure it lived up to all his expectations. :)
What a good experience. Every year Jaxton's birthday has just been so much fun and such a pleasure. I'm so thankful for our good supportive families. Can't imagine life without them!!
Love you guys!!

No cute picts of my kids cause I'm in a huge hurry. Just wanted to document that Jax tripped and did a massive fall on his face for the 3 time in his short life. Almost knocked the tooth right out (AGAIN). Happened at the BYU invitational last week...had to take him to the ER ("had" to is a loose term--it was 5pm on a Friday night--the Insta-care's said they didn't "do" teeth, neither do the pediatricians, what dentist do you know is open at that time??? Hence the "had" to go to the ER) Soooo, $250 later the ER just called a dentist and tried to shove the tooth back in it's socket. YOUCH!! As if Jax isn't already psychotically petrified of all doctors...It didn't stay in it's socket, in case you were wondering. Too bad.:( Anyway 2 hours later we were on our way. No better than when we got there. Yay for wasting money!!

We took him to the dentist the next Monday, and they yanked the little straggly tooth out (they said, looking at the x-rays, "this isn't the first time he has knocked his tooth is it? Cause his root is almost completely disinigrated.[me "nope, not first time"] If we don't yank it now, it will just hurt and be tender for 5-6 weeks and fall out anyway".) Again, as if he hasn't had enough trama with "doctors"--they just yanked it out while I held him down...child abuse? Hope not... He wont get another until he is 6 or 7 years old. My beautiful child....

So the next pictures I post of Jax and all here-after (well, about 4 years) he will be toothless in the front. His "awkward" stage has already begun. ;)

But to me--still the doll he's always been--it's actually a very fitting facial cosmetic for his personality. If you know what I mean, LOVE THAT BEAUTIFUL BOY!!!!

Ps. Rod is sick--AGAIN!! Those darn tubes aren't living up to their reputation... He fell asleep on the carpet today at 9:45am (RARITY!!). Poor kid.

This is something I really want to remember: Rods "gommer" teeth. He has 2 normal teeth on the bottom, and then it gets funny--he has 3 teeth on the top where there should be 4...he is missing one in the middle. Can you see it? It's even funnier in person...CUTE!!

LOVE HIM!!
Sometimes Jax and Rod "kiss". It's very drooly and open mouthed. I LOVE IT. I suppose it's because I LOVE drooly open mouth kisses from my kiddies, they don't seem to mind them from each other either! :)
The cold, hard fact is if your kids drooled as much as mine you'd grow to love drooly open mouthed kisses too.

These boys love to play with each other...sometimes they can go for long minutes at a time without Rod crying out in pain or hurt feelings. :)

And look!! Jax is getting so much better at sharing. He really is. If he snatches the toy that Rod is playing with, he usually gets him a different one, I hope it continues.
I LOVE THESE BOYS!!!!

Tubes

So Rod got tubes put in his ears on Wednesday. 5am in the sweet morning!! Everything went great and we are so glad that we hopefully wont have to deal with any ear infections in the future!
This picture melts me.
Forgive the toilet in the background, they make you dress them in the bathroom...
They actually wanted him to try and wear that thing on his head....what?? Of course he ripped it off and would have none of it after 5 seconds. :)

Then he looked like this (bear in mind it was quite early in the morning):
Is he cute or what? My little goober guy. My mom says he looks like a version of Benjamin Button--like a old man, in the cutest possible way of course! :)

In other similar news, Rod is standing, stationary, without help...walking shouldn't be far behind...?

Some early April Updates

We have been borrowing Justin's parents 4 wheeler for some yard work. Jax loves it. Remember how we discovered that Jax had thrown a myriad of earthy products such as sand, rocks, and twigs down into the gasoline tank, also plastic? That was fun. Justin had to disassemble it and clean it out and put it back together. Thank heavens we found out about it before turning it on--apparently it would have busted the engine.

As shown in the pictures above; Justin still likes Jax regardless... :)

Jax always amazes us with his coordination. Justin will throw him the ball and Jax will kick it back to him in the air without it touching the ground.  He connects his foot with the ball really well, it's one of his favorite games recently. We even played it for FHE last week.
He also loves to "head" the ball, and really has pretty good form.

Here he goes!

Check out his facial expression and body language as he preps to kick the ball. This is serious business.
It looks like he is prepping for  one of those "bicycle" kicks!
Puff out that chest!!
Solid kicks!
Look at his cute little face and arms!! He's ready!!
Remember how the angle of the world came and stayed with me while my parents were in Florida for 5 days?! Chanel = Pure bliss for those around her. Sadly my kids didn't get to see very much of their favorite Chanel, she was so darn busy.
They loved the time they did get though!
Lucky for me I get to see her fairly often b/c I help coach the PHS Track team--Good job at the UVU track meet Isaac and Chanel!!
I love them!
