Jaxton's First (1) Birthday!!!!!!!

Hold on to something cause this is a looong post. And i used self restraint to not post more...

First off: Jaxton's birthday was SOSOSO fun, WAAAY funner then i ever thought it would be considering he's turning 1, and well, that kind of speaks for itself.

Secondly: SOOO sad that i didn't get a picture of everyone there!! What was i thinking?! seriously. Now he will never know who was at his first birthday, sad sad sad....Oh wait, yes he will because i will list them here!! we are saved. List: Both grandparents on both sides plus a great Grandma Wing, Aunts: Brooke, Natasha, Arianne, and Chanel. Uncles: Jason, Steve, and Isaac. Cousins: Kaitlyn, Max, Ethan, and Mairee...i really hope i didn't forget anyone...

Third: It REALLY was SOO fun! (did i mention that?) AND we just LOVE the support we get from our AMAZING families! Thanks for coming and making it fun fam!

It was a beautiful day and we had a YUM BBQ. Which stands for a delicious BBQ.

Then we ate...no pictures, i'm lame. Then the kiddies played some little games. Again lame, no pictures. But don't worry, i make up for the "no pictures" during present time. Huraay! Present time, by the way, was hilarious and SO fun. Jax loved the whole thing. So did I, to the extent that I may or may not have started acting pretty crazy-psycho-spoiling-momish, without knowing it... well, right up until i said something like (while truly panicking) "Hurry and take this off so he can play with it!! He might start crying!! Hurry!!" Then i felt a little silly. Because, he was just fine and had TONS of stuff to play with. and i realized that i may or may not have yelled it. or just may have. ANYWAY, no more awkward stories, below, i give you "PRESENTS":

The FIRST of many presents: a CUTE frog chair, you will see it in almost ever picture here after.

The chair was from max/steve/tash. To celebrate we took this picture. If you can look at this picture without busting up laughing, i just might pay you money...please keep an eye out for this "max face" in pictures to come...I can't tell you how many times i've looked at this picture and just not been able to stop laughing, like right now...:)

And this is just sad. Blurry pictures are the worst, i CANT delete it though because its SO cute! sadly, there will be more blurry ones. Don't hate me, hate my camera, and don't hate it too bad cause it was expensive, and usually does a good job.

These next pictures i'm not going to really explain, random picts of presents, cute, cute cousins and "max face".

this was his only sad face, and it's not even sad, more confused and concerned then anything. He was SOSO good, and he was nap-less! He loved every second. Well, that might be a little exaggeration, but it was amazing how good he was and just really enjoying everything.

Trying to get a picture of all the cousins, correction, of all the cousins looking at the camera at the same time. Is that a realistic goal? look at the next three pictures and you tell me. and then i'll tell you: it's extremely unrealistic.

Jax got such fun little toys and some little outfits and some swim diapers. YAY! Birthday's are the best! Everyone was SO nice to jax. ps. if you were wondering Justin and i got him a little bike seat to go on the back of Justin's bike. So that should be fun.

And as you can see i impressed my birthday baby, which was what i was going for.

Jax eating the well deserved cake. Not with as much gusto as some 1 year olds i've seen. There is a movie at the bottom of this post showing his great deed. It's pretty funny, in a non-exciting kind of way.

Which was sad for all involved I'm sure. I was way sad.

Jax was HALARIOUS in this chair. I think the he just couldn't get over that it was just his size. He sat in this thing for quite a while. This kid sits NO WHERE for "quite a while" so thats saying something.


His grandma Gause gave him this Leap Frog game/learning experience. It goes on the fridge. He LOVES it for many reasons. One big one is that it plays music, specifically the alphabet song, all you have to do is push a button. Also, when you place a letter in it, it sings " A says aaaaa and A says aaaaaa, every letter makes a sound, A says aaaaaa" and so on for each and every letter you choose. And he is pro at hitting the alphabet button and sometimes get's lucky with the letters. So thats a fun journey.

Okay, so if you didn't know yet, Jaxton's birthday was just a blast and i was so glad it was a good experience. Good weather, good food, good company, good baby's. We are living the dream. :)

This jumper thing Jax is wearing is halarious. This kid is so cute.

These next pictures show some of the faces he's been doing alot. He has become SO expresive.

This is a common one, but usually his eyes are open really wide too.

I'm placing a large bet that he's going to have curly hair--from like age 2 and on, just like his dad...i seriously cant wait, it'll be so cute. Cute compilied on top of cute, i love this kid.

This video is of Jax kicking the ball around. He LOVES to kick balls. For some reason he loves to kick the basketball best...weird. But he'll kick all balls, he' s not picky. So everyone better watch out...:)

PS. Went to the dentist today and Jax's tooth is going to be just fine! SWEET!! Because he is so young the dentist said it is basically the best time to get a tooth knocked in. He said the roots are mostly separated and pliable until they are like 2 years old. Then it's bad news bears. But GOOD news for us! And an appointment that originally was going to cost $100, only ended up being $55. It is good.

Tooth Drama

So sad drama of my life, Jax fell down some small steps in the perfect worst way and shuved his little, cute, perfect, front tooth all the way up into his jaw/gums. So far up in fact, that the doctor at the after hours clinic told us that it had been completely knocked out. And she said that there wouldn't be any tooth there until he got his permanent tooth at about 6 yrs old. I was crushed. But alas, the next morning there was this small whiteness in the gummybloodness, and then in the afternoon, a definite tooth! So it had been there all along, hiding! GROSS!! Poor kid. So needless to say we're going to the dentist tomorrow. I'm very interested to see how they (the dentist) are going to examine a crazy hyperactive 11 month old. He's not going to sit in a chair. We'll see what happens. We're crossing our fingers that it's not dead and wont have to be pulled...It looks pretty good to me. :) Anyway, other sad thing is: who thinks to get dental insurance for their 11 month old. Seriously. Gag.

Below are some pictures from the day after the accident. These pictures do not do justice to the hilarious monkey/who-ville(from the Grinch stole Christmas) boy face that he had. His upper lip/mouth was really swollen, he could barely smile. It was pretty cute and pretty hilarious. My dad was crying because he was laughing so hard at his face. :)

My little Man

This is going to be a lengthy blog, prepare yourself. or don't read it, either way. :)

Jax has been growing SO MUCH lately.
*He now has 8 teeth!
*He's walking around ALL OVER. I had to run and get "Baby proofing" stuff for our cupboards, among other things. This kid gets into EVERYTHING. Jax ate one of those jet pack dishwasher packets and got it in his eye, i had to call poison control. I thought i was going to be known forever as the mom who blinded her child out of stupidity. But he's fine, thankfully. ps. I had to run water into his eyes for 10 min, 10 minutes! do you know how LONG 10 minutes is?? NOT fun. I felt really bad.


*His fascination is toilets. If anyone has any idea of a contraption that keeps toilet seats/lids down--that actually works, then i would LOVE to hear it.
*He will "Dance" to music if he hears it. Dancing entails swaying his body from side to side. Sometimes he will even "sing" too, this entails a lot of long vowels.
*Jaxton's head is CONSTANTLY being bonked, banged, or hit. (not by me.:) This kid has had at least one bruise on his head consistently since he's started walking. His head gets a bonk probably about 20 times a day. No joke. In his defense, the kid has a BIG head.
*He has really started being SUPER dramatic. Just wailing at the top of his lungs--high, like a little girl. But the thing is, it's usually FAKE! and you know how i know? Cause it's over such STUPID things, and because if he gets the least bit distracted from the high pitch wailing he immediately stops. Until he remembers or see's me, then he starts back up like he never stopped! Until i pick him up or do whatever it is he's wanting...can you believe that? And sometimes he will scrunch his face and make this SUPER pouty look, trying so hard to work up a scream--it's hilarious. He usually can work up a scream--which isn't quite as hilarious. :)


*Whenever he gets slightly excited (he's been doing this for awhile now) he breath really heavily and in short repetition. That's really cute, we do it at him now when he starts to do it and it doubles his excitement--who knows what he's excited for. :)
*Overall, he's a pretty jolly baby, kinda a ham really. And it's fairly easy to get him excited. He loves to be tickled, spun, bitten and shaken (in a "i'm playing with a baby" kind of way), thrown, chased, and handled kinda roughly. :) He also likes to be sung to and to destroy.
*From the looks of him, you'd think he liked to eat--not so much. i mean cake he always makes room for, but i'm constantly floored that he can maintain such a heavy weight. He's pretty darn solid.

Happy Birthday Mom

Yup, my great, awesome, amazing, coolest, good, cute mom had her birthday on March 2. Here we are celebrating. Shoulda took pictures of her "Cafe Rio" dinner. It was the real deal. Here she is with the cake i made her. It (the cake) was supposed to be LOADs cooler than it was. Lets just say it wasn't worth the effort, or maybe my effort just wasn't effective...well, we'll just have to wait until next year...the next one will blow this one out of the water.

This was funny, this is the second time jax has gotten "stuck". He gets in this position and can't do a thing. It's hysterical. he just sits there and his whimpers escalate until you help him. I love his little (big) bum in the air!!

Jax's favorite part of the night--being fed by his uncle Isaac and auntie Chanel, whenever they're around he ALWAYS gets whatever he wants. :)

I actually have footage of him walking! He walked so well a while ago and then was scared to do it ever since... Isaac and my mom got him out of his shell with a sucker. the video is at the bottom....I'm super loud in it..turn the volume down. seriously.

Jax's tongue always seems to be out lately, I'm wondering if it's a stage or just unique to him. He has such a perfect tongue. :)

Here he is cheezn' it up with his hand in his mouth. what a cutie.

I've been trying to teach Jax yoga, this is his favorite position: up-dawg. ;)

And here is the video of him walking...it doesn't look like it, but he really does have pretty darn good balance. I'm convinced he could walk around all day if he would stop bein' a sissy. :) Hopefully he starts really walking soon, this little stud will be SO much happier, and in turn so will I. I'm assuming my happiness over him walking will diminish quickly, as it brings a whole new world of grief. But i'm not thinking about that yet. He is at the latter end of his current stage and is so frustrated. As of late he wines like you wouldn't believe. ask my mom. and throws crazy fits, like you'd think he was being stabbed...or beaten. ask my mom. However, He REALLY is quite the gem. I just love him to death.
