Honestly, May was the month of illness. There was a barf/stomach bug (worst I've ever had) that spread like wildfire with an average weight loss of 8lbs per person. You didn't even have to touch somebody to get it. Then there was weird fevers and coughs and everything was so catching. So along those lines...
Rod's Birthday this year was a little disappointing. We postponed it because he was sick, poor guy, and then he never got better. He SO wanted to have his "Dusty Birthday Party" but he felt ill for like 2 weeks straight. So we had his party anyway, while he was sick. I wasn't able to pull out all the stops because of him being sick and such but it was still a really good time and he actually really enjoyed himself and had a lot of fun...until he got tired and more sick... Everyone was so nice to come and support him and risk their health...:)
We did the party in our shade less backyard on account of Rod being sick (less germ-y). He loved seeing everyone and the presents.;) We had the house decorated for awhile because we couldn't figure out when to do his party, I had gotten some special Dusty Crophopper stuff and it was too bad Rod wasn't feeling well because I know he would have enjoyed it that much more.
We got him a little bike for his birthday, he was still really sick when we tried to give it to him--he did NOT like it. When he was feeling better we tried it again and he LOVED it.--those pictures are at the end of this post.
This party was the most Rod had smiled in awhile, so that was so nice to see as a mom. He loves his cousins, and family.
This kid got soooo many cool presents, he was in HEAVEN.
Like I said, he was pretty happy. Sweet boy.

Instead of cake we just did popsicles and ice cream cones, so he just blew out a candle I was holding after we sung to him. :)

And this is where it started to go downhill, he was just worn out and sick.
But that didn't stop the cousins form having a BLAST with their AWESOME Uncles!!
And he's down for the count...!
But after awhile he is feeling better and is loving life again! Happy Birthday 3yr old Angel boy!!
