It's been a stressful couple weeks.
Among other big things, sweet Grama Wing is dealing with her cancer and we are trying to help when there just isn't much you can do. It's so hard to watch something like this. We were all unprepared, and so happy when she has good days.
Justin lost his job a week ago. It's a good thing, he should have gotten out of there long ago. He didn't because he is too responsible, and too nervous to take risks when he is supporting a family. I'm relieved he is done with his old position and truly see this as a great opportunity for him to find something he enjoys with people who build him up, not tear him down. Because of his severance package, we have 8 weeks before we even feel any slight dent financially. We will be totally fine.
HUGE NEWS: To my absolute shock, (like the shock of a lifetime.) I found out I was pregnant a couple days after Justin lost his job. We are just really shocked. And extremely stressed. But it's getting SO much better. The initial 3 days were pretty heavy, but I am in a way better place now. I'm very excited for this new life growing inside me. Even as I write it I'm shocked. It's like the shock never goes away. It just keeps coming in waves. But the feelings are a lot sweeter and less desperate and out of control. Mostly. This is just SUCH a big deal. SUCH a big deal. And it's happening. Right now, in my body, without my permission. But, like I said, it's really a sweet feeling that I feel sometimes, so it's very exciting; among other words. I could go on and on, saying the same things over and over about this that I say in my head ALL DAY LONG; but I think I'll stop now. Life is something.
And BOTTOM LINE: babies are absolutly the most beautiful, special things, EVER. It's beyond incredible I can just be growing a precious little someone! It just really blows the mind.
Anyway, BEFORE most of that went down. I got my hair done, and I love it. It makes me so happy. I love the color and I love the cut.

I also took Cal for smoothies, it was SO fun. He is such a fun buddy to have around when running around doing errands or anything like that.
We also went to Costco and got him a new jacket. It's perfect.
I ALSO took Jax out on a DATE! We went and saw my cousin Austin act (so well!) in a play at BYU and then we went to his favorite place to get his favorite treats.
His favorite place is the gas station; his favorite treat is soda, and any chips that meet this quality check: 1.) So SUPER hot they make you drool and pant and turn your fingers red.
I love him so much!
Rod got his medal from Soccer at his soccer party last week, fun little dude!
Zach and Clarissa came over on Sunday and made our whole day!! We don't get to see them super often and we love any and all chances we get to hang with our Elko family!! Calvin LOVES having kids his age around. The cousins that are more his age are in Elko, Yew York, and Heaven, so he loves visitors.
I got to so my sweetest little nephew that Sunday night!! In case you can't tell I LOVE HIM.
I can't get enough...
On Monday night I was able to run over with my little fam and see Natasha and her kids before she left for St. George. Hurray!! Sweetie boy Shane uncharacteristically fell asleep in Natasha's arms. It was absolutly darling. And was preceded by some DARLING awake interactions as well!!
Luckily we JUST moved Calvin to a big boy bed, (twin) on Tuesday. We knew to KEEP the crib at that point, unlike every other baby thing we gave away a year ago! Haha! Life is funny!
Look how cute he is in that big bed!! I think it has helped him sleep a little longer in the morning...so that is a huge positive.
We toyed with the idea of going somewhere (we wanted to go to Elko and visit the cousins!) for Fall break, but I couldn't get work off so we decided to stay home.
We have been having a really good time over fall break, doing a lot of fun stuff. It makes us feel like awesome parents, which is something we need right now, so you could say that is timely.
Thursday we went to the Provo Rec with the Gause cousins, it was so much fun!! The kids love swimming so so so much. I always forget just how much they love it, because I don't. hehe! :)
Look at these cute pictures!!
Brothers of Happiness!!! :)
Below are my favorite pictures of the day.
All these cute cousins!!
Jaxton's favorite thing was the cliff jump. He did it over and over. I got some cute pictures of him.
More Zane!!
My kids school pictures are so darn cute! I'm really debating about whether to purchase because they are so cute and they are already done...! :)
We went and saw Grama Wing yesterday (I didn't get pictures with her!! I have issues...) Anyway, it was so good to see her, she had a smile on her face and seemed to be in good spirits. She was watching a football game with Bob, so that probably had something to do with it. :) The kids loved trying to find apples in her tree.
Continuing our "Fun Fall Break" weekend we went to Classic Skating with our neighbor friend, Kai, and it was a blast.
And there was a situation there that intailed a child having severe diarrhea, like ALL OVER THE FLOOR. literally feet from where we were standing. GAG. And then we had to go in and play like nothing happened. Shutter. AND THEN I saw that SAME kid in playing on the bounce houses 15 minutes later! I swiftly tattle-taled to management that diareaha boy was on the loose (with his mother watching and not caring!!? Of course he had different pants on.. what the heck??) and I saved the immune health of the 50ish kids at the play place.
You are welcome world.
Needless to say I wanted to dunk all the kids in Lysol when we left. The whole thing gives me the willies.
We then went to Pizza Pie Cafe with the all the kids. It was REALLY a nice time. No fighting or anything the whole day!! Maybe Justin and I should be "fun parents" all the time...?? ;)
At dinner Kai got all of us playing a singing game where we grade each other on our "real singing". I'll just say a lot of that "real singing" was filmed, it was darling.
Kai likes Hawaiian pizza and dessert pizza.
Jax likes to get cheese bread and pepperoni pizza, canned peaches, dessert pizza, and cheese bread again. (The only time in his LIFE he has been the one eating the most variety!!)
Rod likes the noodles with balsamic vinegar, pepperoni pizza and frosted pizza cookies.
Calvin likes Cheese pizza only.
Justin likes the pizza with jalapeños on it.
I like to complain to the manager about how they need to "supply pizza when they are a pizza buffet" and get 5 free meals.
This next week might slow down..???
Probably not. :)
I am 6 weeks pregnant.
